In this episode, Avril interviews Lauren Gregor, founder and CEO of Rent-a-Romper, a sustainable children’s clothing rental company. Lauren discusses the inspiration behind the business, changing consumer mindsets towards clothing rentals, and the company’s business model.
As a mom of two little ones, Lauren saw firsthand how quickly her children were growing out of their clothes. She began looking for solutions that would address her concerns about overconsumption and sustainability without adding more to her plate. From this, the Rent-a-Romper membership model was born, to give parents easy access to a “library” of over 400 brands of children’s clothing items that could be delivered to their home.
Consumers can choose capsules of 7-15 items of clothing that they can switch out of as their children grow, with unlimited swaps and shipping included both ways. With such a large selection of brands and items available, consumers don’t have to sacrifice personal style for sustainability.
