In this episode of In With the New, Avril Tomlin-Hood interviews Divyansh (Divy) Ojha, founder and CEO of Odd Bunch, a direct-to-consumer brand tackling food insecurity and waste. Divy shares his personal journey in building Odd Bunch, and discusses the importance of building strong relationships with farmers.

Food insecurity affects millions of households in Canada, yet as much as 40% of our food supply is wasted each year. Odd Bunch partners with local farmers who struggle with overproduction or cosmetically imperfect products to provide a way for this produce to reach consumers. Consumers can subscribe to a weekly delivery of produce boxes containing a variety of seasonal items, priced lower than the average grocery store. This allows local farmers to sell perfectly good “imperfect” produce that may otherwise go to waste, and consumers to access fresh produce at a reasonable price.

Discover more about Odd Bunch’s mission to minimize food waste and support local Canadian farmers.
