Over the past twenty years, Alter Eco has stayed true to their core principles of restoring ecosystems, improving livelihoods, and reducing waste. The company is Fair for Life certified and maintains direct relationships with everyone in their supply chain, from farmers to processors to packaging manufacturers. Working predominantly with South American farmers, Alter Eco encourages its farmers to use agroforestry to diversify their crops to boost biodiversity and maintain soil health. The company take a long-term approach to their relationship with suppliers and actively works to ensure the long term sustainability of cacao farming.
