One of the top-selling products in the billion-dollar energy bar industry, NuGo needed help to reach a more niche market than before: American adults with type 1 & 2 diabetes who were looking for a plant-based, low sugar alternative to other bars on the market.

The NuGo Slim product was a vegan, gluten-free low glycemic bar that was unique on the shelves, but the story had yet to told. The bar was available both in leading health food chain stores and online, and the client needed a media strategy that would reflect a 2-pronged approach for generating sales.


boa created the media plan and implemented the ad tech for the job – leveraging historical purchaser data to build intelligent Paid Search, Facebook and programmatic Display campaigns.
